Assessment
In the first self-porlrait is 1 man who is holding a little picture of someone that in the front of the picture. In the middle of the picture a man is standing in front of a car and he is staring at the man in the window. In the background of the picture there are buildings and the person who took the picture is Friedlander and he took the picture in New Orleans 1968. In the second picture it looks really scary and weird this is because in the door way there are 2 object and one of the object a hand is holding it. The second object you can see he's feet at the bottom of it, the person who took this was woodman and it was took in Roma in 1977. The last picture is a weird one because someone is sitting in a car and Josephson holds a square card with a square hold in then he pointed it at someones hand and the picture you can see Josephson reflexes on the car. They are all similar because there in black and white and they all have people in.
Friedland Woodman and Josephson all have different frames in there picture they all have different edges. For the first one for example the buildings in the back ground and the windows and the hole picture has a big edges because of the frame. In the second picture the frame is the door and the persons hand and legs and the radiator on the edge of the picture. The last picture has many different edges/frames such as the car the guys hand and the guy riding the bike in the background.
I think the first picture is unexpected because the shadow and the man staring at him from a distends because why would you stare at someone. The second picture is mysterious because its in a dark room and the 2 object in the room it looks like kids hands and legs but the legs are Woodman. But where the hands are you can see a shadow so that proves its a kid who is holding it. The last picture can show us its a good picture but its a bit weird why would you take a picture of a hand hanging out of a car but looks quite good.
The picture that I like is the second picture by Woodman because theres not a lot of stuff in the picture but it still looks good the hands and legs. This will influence my work because theres not a lot in the picture and I like picture like that because theres not to much to look at. When I make a picture I wont put a lot in it and ill make it look imaginative than I normal do.
