There are many different reason I picked discarded items, one of the reason is that I think all the objects people discarded why are they discarding them is there nomore need for them.
There are some question I would like to ask
• Why are people discarding things on the floor?
• Are they discarding them on propers?
• Does all the discarding items have to be littler?

I came up with an idea when I took the photos of the items. I thought I would cut the items out and put the pictures on a light box and took pictures of them.
When I took these pictures I was thinking what I should with them. So I though I would cut out the discarded items and place the pictures on the light box and see what my out come would be.
When I decide to pick discard items I thought it would be a really interesting topic. When I was thinking what should I do for my final piece I was thinking what do I always see when I'm walking down the road on the floor and I was always seeing plastic bottles and cans.
So iv have been thinking what I should do for my final piece so iv decide to make a final piece with plastic and drinks can. How am I going to do that? I'm going to gather all off the pictures together and print them off, and after iv printed them off I'm going to experiment with all the photos.
Hopefully in the 10 hours I can do many things with the photos, with the final piece I just don't want to do one thing and be done within 6 hours and I have nothing to do for the rest of the 4 hours. So at first I'm going to make something small and ever step I will do I will take a picture to show my progress, If I like the first thing I made I will keep making it better, but if I don't like I will still keep it and ill make something else with the other pictures.
If I can't think of anything or I don't want to print them off ill put my pictures on the computer and ill put them in to Photoshop, when the photos are on there ill mess around with it and see what happens with it. If like it ill make some more and after I have done with it I will print them off and ill probably mount it on to a mount board.

My research Eian Kantor based in Brooklyn, New York. . In 2016, Kantor self-published her first book, images come and gone photos from 2006 - 2016. In 2017, I completed a big project called (don't) look down 512 discarded cigerettes boxes. Here are some of Kantor photos she has taken.
Kantork tken pictures of random people or public transport and she also liked taking pictures of people smoking and discarded cigarettes boxes on the floor. When I first looked Kantor up online I was interested to find out why she was taken pictures of random people on trains sleeping and stuff and why she likes taken pictures of cigarettes. So I looked into this with more detail. (Don't) look down: 512 discarded cigarette boxes is a study of cigarette boxes that have been abandoned. This project was shot from during lunch breaks and/or times Kantor eeded to get away from looking at a computer screen. At the time, I worked from home, so at least 80% of these images were taken in Park Slope and Gowanus, Brooklyn
Some other people iv been looking In to is Peter Fraser. Fraser was born in 1953 in Cardiff Wales. Fraser went to learn at Manchester polytechnic. Fraser got he's first ever camera at the age of 7 Fraser has said that 'The idea that there is no hierarchical relationship between large and small, as everything in the Universe is made of small things, has influenced much of his work and came directly from seeing this film'Fraser was an early adopter of color photography in the UK, along with Paul graham and Martin Parr. Most of Fraser work is quite interesting to look at for example
Some of theses photos are interesting but one of them is not. The picture with the leaf is quite boring I see where Fraser is coming from he's trying to take a picture and confuse people what's going on, like what are you just going to take a picture one leaf and nothing else. But the other to pictures are quite interesting. For example the bottle when I first saw this picture I was thinking is this photo set up did Fraser put the bottle there and filled it up and took a photo of it or was it already in a good position so he thought he would take it and see what would happen will it come out as a good picture. But the seconded when I saw it I was thinking what could that be I like these types of photos because you don't know what they are so you have to look in detail to find out what the object in the photo is.
Orozco was born in 1962 in Veracruz, Mexico to Cristina Fèlix Romandía and mural painter and art professor at the Universidad Veracruz Ana. When Orozco was six, the family relocated to the San Àngel neighborhood of Mexico City on various mural commissions. His father took him along to museum exhibitions and to work with him, where Orozco overheard many conversations on art and politics.
This is only some of Orozco work. Theses photos are quite interesting a confusing at the same time. Why are they interesting? For example the car when I first saw it I thought it was a camera trick but when iv kept looking at it in more detail it looks like a really car it looks like someone has swashed the car and taken a picture of it. But no some one has made a car like this and its good photography The other photo with the circles and couloirs was quite unusual this is because when I first looked at it I though it was moving so then I though could be an the picture messing with my mind but then when I looked away and looked at it again it stop moving so I was wondering if it was just my head or was it the photo. The last one I was just confused about it I was wondering why would you just put food on a self and take a picture of it. |
Wolf began non-editorial photography with a series entitled Bastard Chairs, small chairs that Chinese people would repair repeatedly using whatever materials were available. Wolf reports that the police detained him twice during the photographing of the series for doing something which was harmful to the Chinese state. Photographs from the series were published in a 2002 book entitled Sitting in China. Although Wolf called the bastard chairs a "great symbol of the Chinese people's thriftiness and resourcefulness," and the book received positive reviews in the West, some Chinese people felt that the photographs made China appear "backward
Another thing i have been researching is blue planet. How does this relate to my theme? In this episode they are talking about how plastic can really damage the sea and can really injury sea animals or kill them. For example if you though away plastic bags they can end up in the sea and fish's can get caught in them and they could get stuck in the bag and then they could die. Just look how much rubbish is in the seas. I'm here thinking why is there so much rubbish and stuff in there and where is it all coming from is it getting dumped into the sea or is it just the wind blowing it over there.
Another person i am researching is Anthony Gerace.
Her photos are really simple like Gerace only takes pictures of one or two things she doesn't want to overcompensate the picture, for example the picture above its a picture of a half eaten watermelon. Like how simple is that but the way the picture is taken is interesting. How? I think how the light complement the shadow at the back of the picture here are some of Gerace pictures he has taken. Most of Gerace pictures are really simple and you can tell whats going on in the picture but some of them. But some of them your thinking to your why did he take them for example the picture or the salt on the table i was thinking what is that picture about and is it discarded. |
There is one more person i am researching. The person is called Morgan Z Schultz, What has he done?
He has made a really interesting video about discarded items and its like a really creep movie he has made. This video is really good to show us about discarded items and how dirty are world can get. With this video you will have to watch it couple times to actually see whats happening Because when you watch it the first time u miss things happening in the video so you watch it like 3 or 4 times.
